Y군에 바라는 아빠로서의 마음

Y군! 아빠로서 니가 어떻게 커갈지, 어떤 사람이 될지 무척궁금하고 설랜다.
이제 grade 2 인데 벌써 부터 이런생각하는게 우습지? 다 부모마음이다.
오늘 문득 이런생각을 해봤어...니가 어떻게 컸으면 좋을지 말야.
아빠는 니가 훌륭하고 좋은사람으로 컸으면 좋겠어.
너무 막연하지? 훌륭하다는건 니가 원하는 분야에서 출중해서 많은 사람들을 리드하거나 유명해지는거고
좋은사람은 따뜻한 가슴으로 어려운 사람들 대하고 주위사람들로 부터 좋은 평판을 얻는거야.
아빠가 인생을 살다 보니 둘다 무척어렵고, 둘다 가진사람 몇 못봤어.
그만큼 노력을 많이 해야해.
정 힘들면 훌륭하지 않아도 되니, 좋은사람 (nice people)이 되거라.
짧은 인생살다보니 그게 더 값어치 있고 신이 우리를 이땅에 보낸 의미에 맞는거 같아.
사랑하는 내아들, no matter what happens 이아빠는 항상 응원하고 널 support할거야.

Y! As a father, I am so curious and excited about how you will grow up and what kind of person you will become.
Now that you are in grade 2, isn't it funny to think like this already? It's all a parent's mind.
Today, I suddenly had this thought... How I want you to grow up.
I want you to grow up to be a great and good person.
Isn't that too vague? Being great means excelling in the field you want to be in and leading many people or becoming famous,
and a good person means treating people in difficult situations with a warm heart and gaining a good reputation from those around you.
As I live my life, I've found having both is very difficult, and I've only seen a few people who have both.
To have both, you have to put in that much effort.
If it's too hard, you don't have to be great, just be a good person (nice people).
I think that's more valuable because our lives are short, and it fits the purpose that God sent us to this world.
My beloved son, no matter what happens, I will always cheer you on and support you.
